You can travel to Exeter along the coastal railway with fares from just £3 for an adult return – now that’s great value. From most parts of the Country, take the M5 motorway to junction 30 at Exeter. Follow directions for Dawlish on the A379 which will take you through the villages of Kenton and Starcross. Continue on the A379 until you reach the edge of Dawlish, at which point you will see Dawlish Warren signposted to the left, just before Marine Garage; a Texaco service station. Follow the road into Dawlish Warren, past the Mount Pleasant Inn and down a steep hill. At the bottom of the hill, follow the road around to the left and continue past Gerald’s Supermarket. You will then see the entrance to Peppermint Park on the left-hand side.

Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway
Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway runs for 7 miles in Great Western tradition from Paignton along the spectacular Torbay coast to Churston and on through the wooded slopes bordering the Dart estuary to Kingswear. The scenery is superb, with seascapes right across Lyme bay to Portland Bill on clear days.
Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve
This reserve is home to many species of wildlife and holds geomorphologic interest. Habitats at the Warren, include dunes, grassland, ponds, salt marsh and mudflats. The Warren is also the main roost for wildfowl and wading birds of the Exe Estuary.
Topsham Museum
Topsham Museum is housed in a group of late 17th century buildings overlooking the Exe Estuary. As well as the furnished period rooms of the house, visitors can also enjoy the displays of local history with a maritime background.
